Karen Brune Mathis has been the editor of the Jacksonville Daily Record since April 2017 and previously was managing editor since March 2010. She also contributes to WJCT 89.9's award-winning First Coast Connect program with monthly installments of the “First Coast Success” interviews with Northeast Florida business executives and entrepreneurs.
Before joining the Daily Record, Karen served as executive director of Dreams Come True, a Jacksonville-based nonprofit that fulfills the dreams of children battling life-threatening medical conditions, from 2007-2010.
From 1978 to 2007, Karen worked at The Florida Times-Union as a reporter, editor and columnist for the business and metro sections. She also was the producer, editor and anchor of a weekly business program for WJCT TV-7 from 1980-81.
Karen is a Missouri native and a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She is married with two adult sons.

Jerry Pribanic is currently an owner of Corporate Caterers Jax with his son Mark. They are currently celebrating the business’s 10th anniversary.
Prior to his retirement he lived and worked in 11 cities including a 4-year expatriate assignment in Amsterdam and Brussels. He has worked for iconic consumer brands like Hoover, Maytag and Milliken where he was their Chief Financial Officer. He possesses a BS in Accounting, an MBA along with a Certificate in Management Accounting.
In his retirement he oversees the administrative responsibilities for CC Jax, works out every day, golfs at Jax Golf and CC and periodically travels with his wife Georgia.
